We’ll be focusing on internal and karmic autonomy from culture and society. We’ll call upon the Righteous Kings, the benevolent and just rulers of old who are written into mantras used to help free us from the karma of modern rulers and the social & political systems we were born into. This is not about ideology, political viewpoints or political participation, but rather work to unwind the karmic exchange that binds our attentions and potentials to the direction of society and culture. Additionally, we’ll be working to purify our relationship to Mother by asking Divine Mothers to fill the places in our psyche currently held by human models of motherhood. Many of us are inundated with the principle of the exhausted mother, the mother who only has so much to give, the mother who is controlled and therefore controlling, the mother from whom much is stolen and disrespected, the mother who is undermined, and whose love may be conditional or absent. We will ask the Divine Mothers to replace our orientation with the mother who is full and luminous, the mother who is powerful and instructive; generous and abundant; honored and respected and whose love is always present and unchanging. Mother/Father are principles we carry inside us as templates we unconsciously apply while interacting with the world and approaching our relationship to God. Orienting toward the divine mother should uplift our relationship to our personal mother, to the earth, to God and all life.
